Velkommen til Oslo

It’s official! The party of 6 are back in London (safely), especially since Justin admitted that London was his “final desination”.

I must admit that i was pretty reserved in my expectations for Oslo, since it is the capital of a Scandinavian Country, Norway, which pretty much have the reputation of having one of the highest cost of living in Europe. Let’s be frank, a Big Mac Meal in this country would set you back SGD27.00.

Money matters aside, Oslo has so much to offer. I regret not having researched into the Norweigian history and culture before leaving and had to make do by learning as I went along. For those of you who are lazy as well, here is a crash course.
For those of you planning to visit Norway, or Oslo in particular. You must either really hope to see the snow, or really hate the sun. The Sun sets at 5pm! But when it was up, the weather was amazing, as you would see in the pictures that i will soon put up. But here is one example.

And DID YOU KNOW: Oslo hosts the annual award ceremony for the Nobel Peace Prize? The ceremony is held yearly at the Oslo Town Hall. We almost missed it because of an oversight, but managed to squeeze it into our schedule and even got a lovely tour guide to bring us around!

So Mr Al Gore, we would be able to tell you that preparations are well underway and that you will be quite glad to recieve your award in a place filled with history.

That’s all for an update for now. Will add more later after i’m done pouring through the 1025 photos that i have and many many more that the rest have.

Till then. Be Safe.
